Renowned semiconductor chip manufacturers, Intel has disclosed that it is providing an amount of $6 million to assist in Coronavirus relief efforts.

Per a statement released, $2 million will be used to support communities where the company has a remarkable presence.

Another $2 million has also been assigned for combining employee relief effort around the major Intel sites.

This was revealed by the founder who said;

“The Intel Foundation is committed to improving lives around the world and supporting communities during global crises and natural disasters.”

Additionally, another $4 million will be used to support community organizations that are concentrated on food security, shelter, medical equipment, and small-business support.

The statement revealed that beneficiaries to be food banks, school districts, children’s hospitals and any others that help local communities manage the impact of the coronavirus outbreak

Intel also donated $1 million to the international red cross and 1 million gloves, masks and other equipment to health workers.
