She made this statement after the Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, well known as Medikal launched a campaign on social media for her to be nominated for Grammys and maybe be the first Ghanaian female artist to win from the academy.

The conversation as to who will be the first Ghanaian to win a Grammy award entirely has been very indecisive on social media. Some Ghanaian A-list artists like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini, and Shatta Wale have all been chastised by Ghanaians over their inability to grab a nomination.

However, a few stars like Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, and Fuse ODG have had their names pop in their nomination list. Stonebwoy scored three nominations after albums he was featured on grabbed nominations in the 64th edition of the Grammys.

Fuse ODG also won from the academy after an album he featured with Ed Sheeran won an award. Rocky Dawuni happens to be the first Ghanaian to grab nominations twice with his own works.

Well, Medikal also launched an online campaign rallying behind Wiyaala to go for Grammys probably in the next edition. Wiyaala in response to Medikal’s campaign stated that she can only achieve that aim if the ingredients needs to project her career to others is being provided.

She wrote; Thank you @AmgMedikal it’s a nice idea, but can only happen if the correct ingredients are added to the soup
