In a recent submission, Edem stated that he and Sherifa Gunu were given less money when they became the faces of the Glo Network.

He said;

“No radio person knows that. I have walked to meetings where companies want to pay me less because I am an Ewe-speaking artist.”

Reacting to this in a recent submission on Hitz FM, Kuami Eugene said;

“If Edem is indeed experiencing it, then it’s not cool. I don’t understand because I am not in his shoes but that is not supposed to happen. I think we are all equal and have to be treated the same.

It is a bad thing. It shouldn’t happen to any human being. If he is really going through that, then it’s something that we need to tackle as a nation because we can’t give room for discrimination.”

In the same interview, he revealed the positive impact that the show he and his label partner, Dennis Nana Dwamena who is widely known as KiDi has on his career.

“During our show at the O2 Indigo, I was required to wear tags even though it was our event. Our show at the O2 Indigo had a positive impact on my career. It increased my numbers exponentially.”
