Recall, Rocky Dawuni while speaking in an interview on Citi TV added to our perspective of what it takes to be a Grammy nominee. There are contrasts, according to the two-time Grammy Award nominee, between receiving a nomination and appearing on a Grammy-nominated song.

The Recording Academy, he claims, has listed the conditions for becoming a Grammy nominee on its website. As a result, we cannot make our own rules and assume that an artist who appears on a Grammy-nominated project is a nominee.

However, Stonebwoy was nominated for his presence as a featured artist on three albums released in the previous year that “contained at least 51 percent playing time of new reggae recordings,” according to the Recording Academy. In the category of “Best Reggae Album,” Etana’s “Pamoja,” Sean Paul’s “Live N Livin,” and Jesse Royal’s “Royal” all earned nominations.

Rocky earlier expressed his displeasure in how Ghanaians misinterpreted his statements about the Grammy nominations, tagging Stonebwoy as the subject he was referring to during his submissions.

In reaction to that, Mr. Logic stated that it was needless for Rocky Dawuni to have explained the Grammy nominations to Ghanaians. According to him, Stonebwoy cannot be tagged as a nominee of the Academy but should of the songs he featured in that have been nominated win, he is equally a winner because he contributed to the success of the song and the album.

Speaking in an interview on Hit FM, Mr. Logic stated that Stonebwoy equally owns the songs on the albums nominated for Grammys, thus he will be a winner if those albums win the Grammy Awards.
