Fante singing artist, rapper and flawless songwriter, Kofi Kinaata has reacted swiftly to his triumph on the first day of awards given out at the 22nd edition of the Ghana Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) held on Friday, June 25.
Born Martin King Arthur, the former Castro protege has become the first Ghanaian musician in the annals of the award scheme to win the Songwriter of the Year award four consecutive times.
He actually became the first person to win it three times in a row and he just bettered it last night by breaking his own record, as he put it excitedly.
Moments after his historic feat, he stormed Twitter to celebrate his win by patting himself on the back illustrated by this caption;
“Another One! I set a record last year.. and I’ve broken my own record this year! The only Ghanaian Flag of Ghana artiste to win the VGMA SongWriter Award for the FOURTH time! Glowing starGlowing starGlowing starGlowing star #VGMA22 #TeamMooove.”
