Speaking in an interview on Kastle FM, the “Biibi Besi” crooner said that he has been an underground artiste for eleven good years.

He said that no artiste in Ghana has served that long time underground more than he has been.

Kwame Yogot said that he has featured a lot of big musicians on most of his songs but still was not able to blow as expected until now. He revealed that he featured the legendary Ghanaian singer, Castro in 2010 but was still an underground artiste.

It’s true if someone says Kwame Yogot is the longest-serving underground artiste in Ghana I think I will agree with that person, Yeah, I have been doing music and have been underground for more than 11 years. There is no big artiste in Ghana that I have not featured on my song as an underground artiste

, he said.

I have featured a lot of big artistes like Castro in 2010 and so I have been underground for a long time I’m not today’s Kwame Yogot, he added.

As a reminder, Kwame Yogot became a mainstream artiste after he featured Lynx Entertainment signee, Eugene Kwame Marfo, well known as Kuami Eugene in his “Biibi Besi” song which became a hit song in the country.

He has been nominated in the Unsung category in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
