Nigerian singer, Iyanya, legally Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk Iyanya has disclosed that the unfortunate news that shook the entertainment world forced him to decide to reschedule his planned November 6th London Show.

The popular Nigerian Afropop singer, who won the first season of Project Fame West, said on Wednesday, October 2, via his verified Instagram page that it was a difficult choice to make but that he would like to honor his colleague Davido, who lost the son he shared with his partner Chioma Rowland, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Iyanya wrote: “Dear Friends. In light of the tragic event that took place earlier this week which hit very close to home, I have taken the painful decision to push My London Show scheduled for the 6th of November 2022 to the 22nd of November 2022, All tickets purchased will be valid for the new date.

I can’t wait to party with you and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but It doesn’t feel right to celebrate while so many of my close friends are in pain.

I hope you understand the weight of this tough decision. See you soon London.”

Ifeanyi, Davido’s son, is said to have drowned in the family’s swimming pool whilst he and his engaged fiancee, Chioma Rowland were on a trip to Ibadan.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command has also confirmed that the son of the singer is truly not among the living anymore.

“It is true, the child is dead. About eight people were brought in for questioning and we are investigating the matter. Anyone found culpable in the death of the child would be arrested,” he said.
