The hip-hop entrepreneur finally joined Instagram on Tuesday and decided it was time to start posting himself after years of diligently documenting his wife’s clothing as the world’s most sought-after Instagram spouse.

The rapper soon racked up over 2 million followers despite only following one person his celebrity wife, Beyonce who had a reputation for not following anyone on the platform for years. Beyonce quickly returned the favor by following her husband back on the platform just to avoid awkward conversations on social media.

Jay-Z’s first post on Instagram was about his upcoming Netflix movie “The Harder They Fall,” which he co-produced and for which he co-wrote a new song with Kid Cudi. Jonathan Majors and Regina King star in the retro Western, which is now available to stream on the service, with an all-Black ensemble in the lead roles.

Jay-Z then posted a countdown to Netflix’s Wednesday release date for the film on Instagram stories, which Beyoncé later shared on her own account in a move that surely sent cheers through the Netflix publicity offices.
