Ghanaian musician, Ras Kuuku has labeled Ghanaian gospel musician, Joe Mettle as his brother.

This obviously comes as a surprise considering the fact that he has been throwing shades at the gospel musicians for a while.

Speaking about their relationship in a recent submission on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM, he said;

“I wished Joe Mettle a ‘happy birthday’ on his birthday. We are brothers even though we haven’t met before.”

Before this year’s VGMAs, Ras Kuuku questioned why Ghanaian gospel musician, Joe Mettle made the list for the category of Artiste of the Year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

Finding it hard to comprehend why Joe Mettle was added to the list, Ras Kuuku

in an interview on Hitz FM said;

“I just want to know what Joe Mettle did this year to merit the nomination in the Artiste of the Year category. Mpaebo and Nwansina are gospel songs.

Someone said “I Swerve You” and you considered that a gospel song. Why can’t “Nwansina” be a gospel song? If Joe Mettle works harder, he can be made the MUSIGA President next year.

When I saw Joe Mettle in the Artiste of the Year, instead of Fameye, I wondered. Which of Joe Mettle’s songs can match up to Fameye’s “Praise”?”
