Recall during an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A to Z, Hon. Mark Okraku Mantey, the deputy minister for tourism, arts, and culture revealed that Ghanaians will be required to show proof of their vaccination before attending any event in the country coming the festive season.

According to him, the ministry aims at ensuring the safety of every Ghanaian by making them adhere to the protocols in order to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-19.

Speaking in an interview on the United Showbiz on UTV, John Dumelo stated that the move will only violate the rights of people who do not want to be vaccinated due to conspiracy theories.

“No, it won’t work. That’s it. It’s not going to work. Number one, how would you know who is vaccinated or not. If I show you my card, how do you know I am vaccinated? … Were you there when I went to the hospital for the injection?”, he told the host Nana Ama Mcbrown.

“Let’s say tomorrow, Monday, I went to the hospital, and Kwame is the nurse. Charley Kwame, and then he gives me a fake injection with a card. The card is genuine, biodata, and all are printed on it. But how do you know that I have taken the injection? he quizzed.

“The second one is that if you are saying that the patrons coming to the event show take the injection, what about those foreigners who didn’t want to take the vaccine?”, he affirmed.
