The presidential candidate of the NDC John Dramani Mahama has filed a motion to the Supreme Court to help correct errors in the election petition.
According to Graphic Online, Mahama has accepted that there were some errors in the petition sent to the apex court and needed immediate rectification.

On December 30, 2020, John Mahama and the NDC filed an election petition where the first respondent (1st) was the Electoral Commission (EC), with the second respondent (2nd) being President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
However, the Relief F of the election petition state that, the party is seeking “an order of mandatory injunction directing the first respondent to proceed to conduct a second election with petitioner and first respondent as the candidates as required under Articles 63(4) and (5) of the 1992 Constitution.”.

This error means that, the NDC and John Mahama are pleading with the court to allow the Electoral Commission to orgainsea rerun election between John Mahama and Jean Mensah.
Therefore, he is seeking for permission from the apex court to allow for a correction on the petition submitted
