In 2012, after the general elections, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress NDC, Johnson Aseidu Nkatiah asserted that any idiot can go to court to challenge the EC verdict after they were declared as the winner of the Presidential elections.

He said this on Accra-based Asempa FM and admonished that the then opposition New Patriotic Party NPP should not be thinking that they will win the court case against EC.

However, the NDC is facing a similar situation as they claim the Electoral Commission rigged the elections in favor of the governing New Patriotic Party hence won’t accept the results.

According to them they’re auditing the figures the Electoral Commission gave to them but Ghanaians and civil society organizations have called on them to send the case to the Supreme Court to address their grievances if they have a problem with the results.

Countryman Songo speaking on his ‘Fire for Fire’ show on Adom TV has said the former president should take his grievances to court and call his supporters to stop the protest because the peace of the country is at stake.

He noted that ‘If you say any idiot can go to court go to court’ and added that John Mahama doesn’t want to be tagged as an idiot
