The Ghana Police service has invited the Bono Regional chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwame Baffoe Abronye popularly known in the political scene as Abronye DC to assist in an investigation for his allegations against former President John Mahama.

The member of the NPP is currently in trouble as the police have invited him after the Regional Chairman Abronye DC claimed that the former president, John Mahama was planning to stage a coup in Ghana.

According to Abronye, John Mahama is in ties with a dangerous group called the Al Qaeda who will aid to undertake a coup so he can become president.

Abronye made this statement during an interview on Accra-based Hot M while responding to the arrest of the #FixTheCountry convenor Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor who was picked up by the police in an attempt to stage a coup if parliament passes the controversial 1.75 E-levy.

In the letter released by the police to the NPP member, it states, “the attention of the police service has been drawn to a publication in which Mr. Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC is alleged to have said that former president John Mahama is allegedly planning to stage a coup”.
