The highest-grossing film made by Quentin Tarantino, Django: Unchained, was allegedly created by Kanye West according to the rapper.

Kanye West revealed on Piers Morgan Uncensored that the idea for the 2012 film was originally submitted to Jamie Foxx and the renowned director in order for it to serve as the inspiration for his music video for the 2005 song “Gold Digger” before it eventually became the well-received movie.

“Tarantino can write a movie about slavery where — actually him and Jamie [Foxx] got the idea from me because the idea for Django I pitched to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as the video for ‘Gold Digger.’ And then Tarantino turned it into a film,” he explained.

The plot of Django, however, has nothing on Kanye’s 2005 “Gold Digger” music video, which was directed by Hype Williams and features a number of pin-up beauties posing for made-up magazine covers.

Kanye West has labeled the song Essence of Wizkid and Tems as the best song in the history of music, and that is a great win for Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

Africans are gradually penetrating the American market with their songs and this Essence of Wizkid and Tems seems to have blown the minds of most of them that they had no other choice but to accept that it’s indeed a great song from Nigeria.

Kanye West hardly reviews people’s songs and we all know how good he is with his craft when it comes to music, hence labeling Essence as the best song in the history of music is a great deal for us Africans since it’s hard to get that recognition outside Africa.
