Hiphop culture often restricts other rappers from acknowledging the supremacy of their colleagues but Khaligrapgh Jones from Kenya is momentarily subverting the status quo on behalf of Sarkodie.

Right after the success of his promotional ‘No Pressure’ tour in Nigeria, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie proceeded to Kenya to take his craft to them in the shape of his latest studio album. He met Khaligraph Jones, with who he collaborated on the Hiphop song ‘Wavy’ during the listening party in Nairobi.

Khaligraph Jones told the crowd without belittling himself that he thinks Sarkodie is the most successful and best rapper in Africa. Watch the video below;

Prior to that, the revered Ghanaian rapper in a conversation with PulseKenya, while answering a question on what he used his first earnings for, said he purchased a house and later bought a land instead of spending it extravagantly on women and booze akin to what other musicians do.

Sarkodie also revealed that he prefers not to buy a lot of automobiles because he prefers to invest his money into something more productive that can yield huge returns in the future.

In his own words;

I remember my first paycheque and it was from a show. Funny enough, it was a tough decision for someone who has been hustling for a while and I had to treat myself. I got a piece of land. Literally the whole money for a land,” he said in the interview.

The area has fast developed now but I still have my spot there. It’s a nice cute land with fly houses around it. The only thing is that the place is far away from me because everything I’m currently working on is close to me. Although the land is far from me, it’s still worth a lot now.

I don’t like spending money on cars. If I get a decent good car that stands the test of time, I could use it but I feel it’s not worth it. Financially, it doesn’t make sense. I don’t have many cars and if I want to get one, I want the type that regardless of time it will still look new

“I think a lot before I make a purchase. I’m the type who always want to make sure I don’t go broke.”
