In a previous tweet, Kofi Jamar revealed that our ancestors were very mindful of what they were doing when they sold most of the natives into slavery during colonization.

He said that the actions of our ancestors paved way for the positive impact on Africans. He added that certain genres like the RnB, Blues, Rock and Roll, Rap Music and Hiphop wouldn’t have emerged if Africans were not sold into slavery.

Speaking in an interview on the Daybreak Hitz segment with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Rya Anakwa stated that the rapper’s tweet was out of ignorance, hence he should be pardoned by Ghanaians.

Rya also stated that our African race never benefited anything from slavery as the rapper claims, hence his tweet should be disregarded.

“I think we should pardon Kofi Jamar because he tweeted that out of ignorance. Our race didn’t benefit anything from slavery

“, she said on the show.

She also lamented that the kind of anxiety expressed by a black person whenever he or she is pulled up by the police in the States cannot be compared to the anxiety of a regular white person when he or she is also pulled up.

“The kind of anxiety a black person experiences when he is pulled over in the United States is different from the level of anxiety a regular white person would experience“, she added.

This argument comes after it was reported that some world leaders who were invited to the burial of the former monarch of England, Queen Elizabeth II were packed up in a bus while the president of USA, Joe Biden rides in his convoy to the funeral grounds.

This sparked mixed reactions on social media as many Africans and world citizens express their displeasure in the idea of having world leaders packed up in buses.
