Ghanaian Highlife musician, Martin King Arthur who is widely known as Kofi Kinaata has revealed why he will never venture into politics in Ghana.

It seems the fante artist Kofi Kinaata does not have the balls to venture into the political arena as he has vowed never to contest as a member of parliament for his constituency.

“They will insult my mother so I beg you to leave me out of politics because in my hometown where I come from politics isn’t about facts,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.

“What you are saying might be true about a certain issue and everyone knows it’s true but because of partisanship they’ll say it’s not true,” he explained on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM.

He added, “Insulting me personally won’t bother me much but extending it to my parents who might have lived a life that no family member of yours can come closer to but because I’m into politics that’s why you’ll insult them”.

The artist discloses that he will rather concentrate on his music career than venture into politics.

“So for partisan politics before God and to be sincere right now in this condition that I find myself I’m not sure I’ll get that heart to be a part of it,” he revealed.
