It was surprising that music legend Daddy Lumba was conspicuously absent at the funeral of his buddy’s (Nana Acheampong) mother which took place at Abuakwa in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
But colleague musician Kofi Nti made sure his absence was not felt after he dropped back-to-back hit songs of unarguably the greatest Ghanaian artiste of all time whose talent was discovered and nurtured by Nana Acheampong- also considered one of the best artists in the annals of Ghana music.
Nana Acheampong lost his mother Akosua Addie back in February 2021 but the final funeral was just held which attracted scores of Ghanaian musicians and other distinguished personalities.

Island’s warm welcome reception was nearly ruined by the dogs in their house who nearly impeded her movement but her mom stepped in and ‘cleared’ the animals out of her way.
Once that was done, the little girl who is barely 2-years old ran towards her mother amidst shouting ‘Maa’ and embracing her.
