This comes after it was revealed that Kuami Eugene was a fan of the opponent team, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, thus fans of the host team have refused to have him perform before at the stadium.

Kuami Eugene was billed to perform at the Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko game at the Accra Sports stadium as a brand ambassador for Adonko Next Level which sponsors both teams.

In the midst of the fracas, NDC big wig, Sam Nartey George has also poured out his sentiments on the fans’ refusal to allow Kuami Eugene to perform at the Stadium.

According to him, despite the fact th at Adonko is sponsoring both teams, it was never written in their contract that Kuami Eugene must perform at the stadium by hook or crook.

All those saying contract and all, can you show me where in the Adonko contract it says Kwami Eugene must perform at games? Is the sponsor not interested in ticket sales? Did the tickets not sell out in less than an hour? Who says we need a musical performance for profit? he wrote.

In another tweet, he lamented that the team belongs to the fans and so they can decide as to whether they would love to have the artiste perform or not.

Accra Hearts of Oak belongs to the fans. We say we do not want Kwami Eugene to perform at our stadium on Sunday. He can perform at Baba Yara before they leave Kumasi or perform on their team bus but at our Accra Sports Stadium di3r, make them forget kraa. End of discussion.

In response to this, Kuami Eugene who seems not to fathom the reason behind the politician’s rage advised him to calm down because football is a game of love and not war.

Boss why are you soo Mad. I beg calm down wai. Your health is important to us all. It’s supposed to be a game of Love. I Beg You, he wrote.
