Ghanaian musician, Kumi Guitar has indicated that young highlife musician, Eugene Marfo who known as Kuami Eugene in showbiz is not a highlife musician.
According to the Zylofon Music signee, most of the song released by Kuami Eugene as not highlife adding that they are Afro songs.
He stated that he would not be worried if Kuami Eugene classifies his songs as highlife, however, he thinks majority of his songs released by Kuami can’t be categorized as Highlife.
In a submission with GNA, the musician reportedly said;
“I think he has certain songs that fall under highlife but most his of songs sound like Afro. That is my candid opinion. I don’t know what somebody might think or how somebody will challenge it. It doesn’t mean he is not a beautiful artiste. He is one of the beautiful artistes Ghana has experienced.”
