Ghanaian musician, Mujahid Ahmed Bello who is known as Fancy Gadam has stated that you don’t need to come Accra is you want to make it, especially as a musician.

Making his point, he used the breakthrough of the Kumerican musicians who are widely known in shownbiz as the Asakaa Boy as an example.

He was reacting to a comment by Ezekiel Tetteh (STIP) who stated that any musician who wants a nationwide appeal should come to Accra.

Reacting to the comments in a phone interview on Hitz FM, Fancy said;

“What the Kumericans are doing is a clear example to everyone – you can make it wherever you find yourself.

I have strong connects in Accra.”

Some weeks ago, the musician was in the news as he revealed that he is yet to get over the death of his fans about three years ago in a car accident.

It could be recalled that these Fancy Gadam fans who were on their way to welcome Nigerian artist, Patoranking for Fancy Gadam’s biggest concert at Tamale Stadium got involved in the accident that even led to the cancellation of the concert occurred.

Revisiting this sad even in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, he said;

“Since the incident, I have been through difficult times, even going through a lot of counseling. I had more than four counselors talking to me for over a year. Even though I didn’t fall into depression, I had so many things running through my mind and I don’t think I can get past them and completely erase them from my mind. “I didn’t want to have anything to do with music, which is why nothing has been heard from me in a while. I was still dealing with the situation and I wish it had never happened because I am not kidding my fans and seeing four of them die was a huge blow to me.

They show me love every day and it won’t be right for me to forget about the music and leave them there, but if I had my way, I would give up music forever and focus on other things.”
