A few people have proven the sickle cell disease wrong that they can still live fulfilled lives and die in their old ages. Proper diet and sufficient medication helps prolongs the life span of sickle cell patients.

#1. Tosyn Buknor

Tosyn Buknor was a lifetime sufferer of the sickle cell disease. She used to be a Nigerian on-air personality until she met her untimely death on 19th of November 2018 at the age of 37.

2. Raymond Ekwu

Raymond Agwu is the son of popular Nollywood actress cum evangelist Eucharia Anunob. Eucharia lost her son in 2017 when he was only 15. Eucharia is now childless as the boy was her only child she bore.

#3. Ashata Onikoyi- Laguda

Ashata Onikoyi- Laguda held the record for being the oldest living person in Nigeria  with the sickle cell disease. She died at the ripe age of 95.
