Ghanaian Reggae musician and media personality Blakk Rasta has urged the various State institutions to force the various former first and second ladies to refund the allowances that were paid to them.

According to Blakk Rasta, the first lady and the second both past and present don’t deserve to be paid any allowances by the State from the taxpayer’s money because to him, they do nothing by ceremonial functions for the State.
He commended the current first lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo and the second lady Samira Bawumia for rejecting the offer of been paid by the State and going to the extent of refunding all the allowances paid to them since their husbands assumed office from 2017 as president and vice president respectively.
Blakk Rasta urged the spouses of the former presidents and vice presidents to also follow the steps of Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Samira Bawumia and also refund the allowances that were paid to them when their husbands were in power.
He stated that the likes of Mrs. Lordina Mahama, Mrs. Theresa Kuffour, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur, and Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama should do the needful by refunding all the allowances paid to them when their husbands were presidents and vice presidents.
He said the State should make sure these spouses ‘vomit’ the allowances paid to them a couple of years back as it was illegal on the path of their husbands to pay them those allowances.
