Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, a former minister of communications, is of the opinion that Asamoah Gyan’s request to attend the world cup should not be allowed.

He appreciates his significant contributions to the nation, as the footballer, Baby Jet’s is affectionately called.

He won’t fit into the system, though, because the nature of football has changed. This was disclosed by Dr. Omane Boamah in a post that was published on Facebook.

He contends that bringing in Asamoah Gyan will change the makeup of the Dede Ayew-led Black Stars and shouldn’t be taken into consideration by football officials.

Asamoah Gyan, a former captain of the Black Stars, stated in a BBC interview that he would like to represent the Black Stars at the 2022 World Cup. The football player, who hasn’t played for a team in some time, now thinks he’ll be prepared for the match once he gets his body in condition.

When Asamoah Gyan joined Legon Cities two seasons ago, that was the last time he played football. Only five competitive games were played by the legend for the Premier League team.
