In an earlier submission, he indicated that he prefers spending quality time with her family to his work.

Speaking on Accra-based JoyNews, he stated that fatherhood is a ground for learning and believes that despite the need to work to cater for the family and secure the future of children, fathers should treat their children as their top priority.

Adjetey Anang cited his father as an example saying that his father did the same thing with the impression of building empires and making properties as an inheritance for them which made him lose the connection he had with his kids.

“One thing I know my father and his generation did was to spend more time working to ensure they leave some legacy and inheritance behind for the children, which is a good thing, but I think the focus becomes lopsided because we sacrifice quality time spent with the children.

“Situations that expose children to different materials and information regardless of the source, hence I want to balance the scale between spending quality time with my son and working,” he added.

“… It’s been bits and pieces of everything and for me I just more or less welcomed it to be a learning process for me and I have enjoyed it,” he stated.

When asked whether he still barbers his son’s hair or if he now sends him to a barbering shop, as was seen in a video during the lockdown period, he replied “well I do send him to a barbering shop sometimes, but I also do it myself periodically so I can engage more with him.”
