The renowned academician who has not made any good compliment about John Dramani Mahama as far as I can remember said he still stands by his earlier evaluation of the former President which he made a few years ago, saying he has no competence and leadership qualities to lead the NDC to wrestle power from the incumbent government led by Nana Akufo Addo.

In his words, Ghana will become worst if Ghanaians hand over power to the former President once again. He even argued those Mahama battled for the single flagbearer slot back in 2016 namely, Joshua Alabi, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, Sylvester Mensah, Dr Ekow Spio-Gabrah and Goosie Tanoh are ahead of him in terms of competence and leadership qualities.

‘The above argument leads to whether Mahama has the leadership qualities to lead Mahama/Naana duo to make a difference in Ghana in the one term in four years. In that regard, I stand by my assertion which I made 16th October 2016…it still holds; John Mahama today as he was then, does not have the full complement of leadership competencies to lead Ghana, be it on vision, strategic thinking, selecting or leading even a team B, curbing the menace of corruption or prosecuting a credible development agenda,’ he told Joy SMS host Kojo Yankson.
