Kidi who seems to be very disappointed after loosing the artiste of the year award to the Gospel act, Diana Hamilton has revealed that he is currently at loggerheads with the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, MarkOkraku Mantey.

During the 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Kidi had high hopes of winning the artiste of the year award since it was so obvious for him since many rooted for him to walk home with the prestigious award.
The presentation of the award was done by the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey, accompanied by the CEO of Charterhouse, Madam Theresa Ayoade.
Kidi was sweeping awards in almost all the categories he got nominated for and it seems he had the show running in his favor so he continued to brag that he will return back to the stage after receiving an award.
Well, the disappointment came when Mark Okraku Mantey was about to mention the name of the winner when he said Kidi claims to be back on the stage for another world. Almost everyone thought Kidi won the award but it was rather unfortunate for the Golden Boy to loose the award to Diana e Hamilton at last.
Meanwhile, a video surfaced online that had Kidi walking away after Diana Hamilton was announced as the winner of that category.
In a live video, Kidi revealed that he is not bothered about the fact that he lost to the gospel act because she also deserved to win just as he did.
In the video, Kidi revealed that he is fighting with Mark Okraku Mantey because he wasn’t pleased with how he announced the winner on stage. He said that he had prepared a very good speech for that particular award but it was unfortunate that he lost to Diana Hamilton.
However, he congratulated Diana Hamilton for winning the award as he jams to her popular song “Adom”.
