Music Producer and Head of Hitz FM, Mark Okraku-Mantey is extremely angry at dancehall act, Shatta Wale for wearing a Tan Top filled with US Flag at the recently held VGMAS Experience Concert.
According to Mark, how can a big act like Shatta Wale not practice Patriotism by wearing a shirt designed by the Ghana Flag than what he wore that very day, while in Jamaica, all their top acts usually wear an outfit filled with the Jamaican colours as a sign of Patrotism, here in Ghana, our big acts are rather wearing something filled with US colours
On Hitz FM, he said.
“” How can a big act like Shatta Wale wore a shirt filled with the US flag on a big stage like the VGMAS? I was soo angry when he took off his yellow jacket and what was left on him was that shirt filled with US colours and the US Flag”
He continued, “Instead of selling Ghana wearing something more Ghanaian, he rather wore a shirt containing the US Flag. In Jamaica, almost all their top acts make sure they wore something in their Jamaican colours. Especially, this year, we have the year of Return, and a big act like him rather decided to wear something US, how?”
