Kumasi-based actress Mercy Asiedu, has expressed disgust at the conduct of Samira Bawumia, the wife of the Vice President of Ghana, for visiting the cast of Kumkum Bhagya.
According to the versatile actress, worst of all, the media failed to point out the flaw in her infamous visit and as far as she is concern, this is detrimental to the advancement of their productions.
Against this backdrop, Mercy Asiedu said journalists in the country have lost her respect because they are suppose to ‘speak against any improper behaviour which goes on in the industry but now they are not doing it.’
She said:
“The movie industry is collapsing which is making us lose our job: now we are not getting any calls from the producers because they don’t have money to produce movies again and nobody is willing to talk for us.
Ghanaian journalists have ignored us which I feel so disappointed in them.”
