Wendy Asiamah Addo, known in the music industry as Wendy Shay, is a Ghanaian Afropop and Afrobeats singer. She is a signee under the RuffTown Records management, headed by Bullet.

Wendy Shay is a trained Nurse by profession, worked as a Midwife in the clinical field. She was practicing midwifery until she relocated to Ghana to pursue her music career. She was introduced to music by Rufftown Records Manager Bullet and signed in January 2018 after the untimely death of label mate Ebony Reigns.

She told GHBase, “I received death threats in my DM. They say I was coming to take the place of their favorite artiste and they won’t let that happen”.

However, upon all the threats, abuse, and hurtful words hurled at Wendy Shay, she stood tall in her music career. She is one of the toughest female artists in the music fraternity who has walked on thorns and has now developed wings to fly despite cyberbullying.
