He said most renowned music industry players in Ghana are doing everything possible to avoid him or not working with him in any way possible hence has also motivated himself to do it on his own by setting up his own group, Self Nation.

Addi Self in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM and television this morning on the Showbiz agenda morning show stated that although he doesn’t get more shows to perform like how it used to be when he was with Shatta Wale, he feels he’s doing very well on his own regardless.

He said he can now see how his music is performing on the various digital streaming platforms compared to his days with Shatta Wale when everything was run by the ‘My Level’ hitmaker and hidden away from him and his colleagues.

Promoting his newly released album titled ‘Zongo To BBC’, Addi Self revealed the title of the album came to him when Shatta Wale took him along to a BBC interview and was given the chance to speak on air.

He said although he’s not on good terms with his formal boss, he picked some positive things from him of which he still applies in his journey as a musician.
