In a Twitter Space interview with @OleleSalvador, the sensational singer revealed that his mother used to play him songs just to help him discover and decide on the path he needs to follow in his music career.

Kidi revealed that his mother used to play him songs from the Nigerian star, Banky W, telling him those are the kind of songs he should be focusing his attention on just to perfect his craft as a musician.

The “Touch It” hitmaker also added that he had inspirations from some top stars in the music game like Tuface Idibia and the legendary P-Square who had R&B backgrounds but were mixing it up their indigenous sounds to make their songs sound cohesive.

However, diluting his R&B sounds with the Ghanaian sounds made him lose his fanbase on Twitter, and at some point in time, he was scared of being lambasted and bashed by his Twitter fanbase for twisting his style of music.

Then, he had to sacrifice the number of fans he had on Twitter just to get the entire world to rock with his music, and with time, he believed that his Twitter fanbase will eventually develop a love for his new style of music.
