During his recent submission on TV3’s flagship weekend entertainment show, Showbiz 360, award-winning Ghanaian musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is known as Shatta Wale revisited the time he was sent to jail.

It could be recalled that the musician was slapped with a jail sentence following the incident that happened when he cause fear and panic in the public domain when he claimed that he has been shot.

Speaking about his time in jail with the host of the show, Giovanni Caleb, Shatta Wale stated that the time he spent at the prison facility was like a vacation for him.

According to Shatta Wale, the prisoner’s warm reception made him feel at ease adding that some ran errands for him, while others offered him their prized food.

In his submission, he said;

“When I went to jail, I was actually feeling like I was at home. Because people have been in there for 30 years, and they’ve never seen Shatta Wale.

So as they saw me, they fetched water for me. Some brought me food from their visitors. Just like the way people see me on the streets and kneel down, it was the same way in the jailhouse.”
