iOna Reine has disclosed that her ‘mother’ Mzbel advised her to look like Ebony in the Obra video even though she never wanted to have anything doing with it.
iOna Reine and Mzbel were really good friends until their relationship hit the rock and today she has opened up about a lot of things in an interview making us understand that Mzbel asked her to look like the late Ebony in her music video for Obra.
According to her, people were loving her because she looked and sounds like Ebony but she wasn’t okay with the fact that she was seen as living in the shadow of the late Ebony and her ‘mother’ Mzbel advised her to take advantage of that.

According to her, Mzbel didn’t force her to look like Ebony in the video as she only advised her but she wasn’t happy with it because of how people were perceiving her but then gave in to the idea because she had complained about not taking her advice.
iOna Reine then added that her breakup with Mzbel shook her musical career a bit and she felt it really bad which she wasn’t happy about but has to let sleeping dogs lie because it’s already in the past and the harm has been done.
