Award-winning songstress, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda, professionally known in the music scene as Mzvee has revealed that she stopped communicating with her family for almost seven years due to the depression she suffered some years back.

Depression is characterized by a negative state and reluctance to act. Depression affects a person’s thoughts, conduct, motivation, feelings, and sense of well-being, and is classified medically as a mental and behavioral condition.
Speaking in an interview with the blogger Nkonkonsa, Mzvee stated that he had reached her rough patch at that point, and as a result, she stopped talking to her mother, fa ther, and siblings for almost seven years because she was so engrossed in the music industry that it consumed the majority of her time.
After realizing what she has missed out with her family for almost seven years, Mzvee revealed that she had to apologize to her entire family for bailing out on them for such a long period because her mother particularly was very heartbroken.
She further stated that she started opening up on her depression to her friends and family and that was one of the main reasons she was able to come out of her state.
Recall, Mzvee in a previous interview revealed that she parted ways with her former label, Lynx Entertainment because of her depression and not because she had issues with the record label.
