Celebrated Ghanaian actress, television presenter, and brand ambassador, Nana Ama Mcbrown
has established her name as a household name in many Ghanaian homes as most upcoming kids look up to her.
Most Ghanaians are of the idea, Nana Ama Mcbrown is the birth name of the actress and Tv Presenter but it is far from it.
She was born Felicity Ama Owusua Agyemang, but she had to adopt a stage name way before she got a shot into the limelight.
In a recent chat with Abeiku Santana, McBrown’s mother, known as Aunty Cece opened up about the circumstance that led the actress to change her name.
According to Aunty Cece, Nana Ama had to change her name because her uncle wanted to send her to the States so she had to change her name in order to get adopted by him.
The new name Nana Ama used got stuck and it has remained till this day.
In other news, Kuami Eugene has lashed out at his former label mate, Mzvee after the latter threw some jabs at him.
While Mzvee was with Lynx, Kuami Eugene confessed that he wrote the majority of the popular songs she is known for.
Eugene has consequently requested that Mzvee respect his name and express gratitude for the assistance he has provided her during her career.
The singer was reacting to a recent interview in which Mzvee made a jab at him. Mzvee previously stated that comparing Kuami Eugene to herself is inappropriate.
As a solo artist with no label, she claims to do everything by herself. She asserted, however, that at Lynx Entertainment, everything is taken care of for kuami Eugene.
As a result, Mzvee claims that comparing their wits is “grossly disrespectful” given their respective resources.
