Multiple award-winning rapper Sarkodie has stated that the only country that cooks the best Jollof dish is Ghana and no other place.
One of the controversial debates between Ghana and Nigeria is the debate on which country’s Jollof tastes better than the other. This rivalry and debate have existed over the years with both countries claiming to have the best Jollof dish.

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie who is currently embarking on a tour in Nigeria has said that Ghana is the only country that has the best Jollof dishes. During an interview on Naija FM in Nigeria, Sarkodie said that the whole world applauds Ghana for the special way the popular dish Jollof is being prepared by its citizens.
“Worldwide, no Jollof tastes better than Ghana Jollof. Have you been to Ghana? Tried their Jollof? This should even be argued out. We are the best and you know it?

Meanwhile, research shows that the origins of Jollof rice can be traced to the 1300s in the ancient Wolof Empire (also called the Jolof Empire), which spanned parts of today’s Senegal, The Gambia, and Mauritania.
