Ace Ghanaian artist Dorcas Poku Dakwa also known as Abrewa Nana has advised young artists to do good music if they want to stay relevant.

In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Co ast-based Kastle FM, Abrewa Nana said that most songs produced by a lot of musicians are full of profane words. He described these artists as short-sighted.

Music should not only be about dancing alone but some should be in a form of advice, motivation, prayers, and others too should be about love. It should not be that music should always be about dancing. I don’t know the system because we are about to change the mindset of Ghanaians”, she said.

“I don’t know what is happening to the music industry nowadays. Most people sing about love or profanity and some people are also short-sighted in doing music”, Abrewa Nana added.

Abrewa Nana also spoke about the reason why most Ghanaian songs do not cross the borders of the country. According to her, most Ghanaian songs are not recognized worldwide because they are”one-way” songs. She has advised musicians to be dynamic in order to sell out their songs outside the borders of the country.
