Award-winning dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., well known as Shatta Wale has urged the leaders in the country to put their pride and powers aside and pay attention to the youth in the country in order to learn something in the new era.

Shatta Wale was reported to have been arrested by the police after he pulled a stunt about a shooting incident at East Legon. He was remanded into police custody for one week by an Accra Circuit court but was later granted bail of GHc100,000.

Earlier today, during a meeting with the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, and the creative arts industry, Shatta Wale was reported to have stormed out of the meeting hall following a confrontation by a police officer after he was asked to put his phone away during the meeting.

Well, in a Facebook post, Shatta Wale has urged the leader to pay attention to the youth’s submissions about sensitive issues in the country in order to update themselves about the current happenings in the world.

He cautioned that the failure of the leaders to adhere to his plea will result in the leaders digging their own pits.

He wrote; Before this country can be better ,our leaders must put pride and power aside and pay attention to the youth for once to learn something’s in this new era of life otherwise they might be digging a pit for their own fall #DTB
