The Parliament of Ghana, in a statement issued today, has indicated that it has suspended its sessions for three weeks.

This follows the confirmation of more COVID-19 cases in the House.

Reports indicated that at least 17 members of Parliament and more than 150 staff members tested positive for the virus.

The Chamber is expected to resume its activities on March 2, 2021, according to a communication with the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin.

Meanwhile, the Appointments Committee will be able to examine the ministerial nominees as of Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
