The CEO of the recording academy, Harvey Manson Jr has made a special announcement regarding Afrobeat at the Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy is responsible for the annual Grammy Awards, one of the biggest platform that celebrate and award artistic excellence on a global scale. It’s composed of learned academy of musicians, producers, recording engineers and other musical professionals.

The CEO of the recording academy, Harvey Manson Jr, who’s is on a visit to Ghana in an interaction with the press disclosed that, plans are currently being considered to create a category for Afrobeats at the prestigious awards.

He also confirmed that, the academy met with major players in the Afrobeats scene adding that, it has to be a proposal submitted to academy for them to make the decision. This comes after the Recording Academy in June added 5 new categories to the Grammy Awards ahead of the 2023 awards.

MEANWHILE: It was nothing but fun and excitement when the raving Nigerian acts, Zinoleesky and Victony linked up in the studio to work on their forthcoming project.

Shigh Lofe, who happens to be Zinoleesky’s manager has taken to his official social media pages to share a short video of recording session between the young talented act, Zinoleesky and ‘Many Man’ crooner, Victony.

In the short video Shigh Lofe shared via his verified Instagram handle, Zinoleesky and Victony were spotted in the studio busily working with Grammy-winning producer, Alli Odunayo, professionally known as Telz.

Although details (release date) for the project is yet to be known, fans and music consumers are already anticipating the masterpiece. However, with just a few days to end September, the song tagged ‘Hypnotize’ could be released earlier than expected.
