Founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel Rev. Emmanuel Obofour have reacted to the warning given to religious leaders ahead of December 31st by the Ghana Police.

The Ghana Police service issued a statement a few days ago warning religious leaders to desist from causing fear and panic in the country with any prophecy they will be giving on December 31st.

In a statement released by the Ghana Police service, the police stated that it was a crime for a person to publish or spread rumors which is likely to cause fear and panic or disturb the peace of the country.

The statement by the Police also says that when a prophecy is given and the person has no evidence to prove that the statement, rumor or report is true, it can be described as causing fear and panic which is a crime.

In an interview with TV3, Rev Obofour stated that men of God who are known for giving disturbing prophecies have to be invited specially by the police to be told the message.

“If I know you are going to die, I have to invite you personally. But there are some people who have to find anointing oil and pray publicly, others also carry messages. Being a man of God, you are a messager and also act as a post office. Whatever somebody has given to you is what you are supposed to deliver to the recipient.”
