Veteran High-life artiste and Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) Rex Omar has endorsed profane songs been recorded by some artists in the country saying he sees nothing bad about it.
According to him, there is no problem with profane songs just that the mentality some people have behind the songs is what makes the songs look bad.
Rex Omar made this comment when speaking with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Accra-based Hitz FM.
He opined that there is nothing like a profane song it’s just how people read meanings to it.
“The songs that are been described by people as profane and bad songs are even good because it educates one more on sex,” he said.
He added that music is inspired by life and sex is part of life so if an artist is inspired by sex which we call profane, then there is nothing wrong with it.
