Songwriter and record label owner Richie Mensah has finally reacted to a lawsuit against his signee Kuami Eugene by Nigerian singer Oduma Essan.

Kuami Eugene has been accused by Nigerian singer Ottomi Patrick Akhere aka Oduma Essan for stealing the concept and element in the making of his single ‘Show Body’ which was released last year.

According to reports, Oduma Essan has sued Kuami Eugene for a sum of Ghc 120,000 in damages after promoting the music video of his song in both Ghana and Nigeria.

Responding to this news, CEO of Lynx Entertainment Richie Mensah blamed Ghanaian bloggers and media houses for labelling Kuami Eugene as a lazy songwriter, thus alerting foreigners to sue the young rockstar anytime someone’s line or concept accidentally collide with his.

Richie Mensah also issued a stern warning to bloggers and media houses who tarnish the image of the 24-year-old singer to desist from such acts.

Weighing on the issue, Richie Mensah mentioned that Oduma Essan suing of Kuami Eugene makes no sense because Eugene’s song was released before his.

He also took a slight dig at various media houses who jumps into conclusions that his singer has stolen someone’s song without doing any form of research first.

Ending his submission, Richie said that even if Kuami Eugene was sued, it is none of anyone’s business and the media should stop spreading false news and nonsense.

He made this comment in a recent sit down with Joy News radio presenter Doreen Avio.
