Legendary Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall musician, Emmanuel Andrew Sammini, well known as Samini has finally opened up on the inspiration behind his decision to change his name from ‘Batman’ to ‘Samini’.

Formerly named Batman explained during an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz with Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown that at a point in his music career he realized there was the need to come out with a solid brand name that would be registered on the lips of his fans and other music lovers.

Samini revealed that he recorded an entire song with his current name ‘Samini’ in order for Ghanaians and his fanbase to adapt to his new brand name and get rid of his old name Samini.

As a reminder, Samini happens to be one of the frontrunners in Ghanaian dancehall music. His genre of music is a melodious mixture of high life, dance hall, reggae, and hip-hop. He terms his brand of music as the “African dance hall”. He signed his first record deal with Ashanti International. Samini

started his record label, High Grade Family after he left the aforementioned label.

In other news, Kumawood actress, Eno Mary has gone hard on the controversial social media icon, Afia Schwarzenegger over her recent comments about Mercy Asiedu pertaining to her choice of fashion amid her trip to Dubai.

It would be vividly recalled that Afia Schwarzenegger in a TikTok video dragged the vetran actress and her team for wearing winter jackets while on their holiday trip in Dubai. She tagged the team as “villagers” and also descibed them as a disgrace to the Ashati kingdom and Otumfour himself.

Her comments obviously did not side well with some of the team Mercy Asiedu traveled with as one of them in the person of Eno Mary takes to social media to drag Afia Schwarzenegger in the mud over her insentive submissions.
