Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall Legend Samini has disclosed his real intentions for not signing Deon Boakye to the High Grade Family yet.

The talented Afropop artist who made it to the Unsung Artiste category of the VGMA in 2017; Deon Boakye was introduced and endorsed by the “Obaa

” hitmaker during his 2018 VGMA performance.

In an exclusive interview on #ShoutsOnY with Bushke on @Y979fm, Samini who has been nominated in the Reggae Dancehall category of the VGMA 2019 stated emphatically that he did not sign Deon Boakye because he wanted to focus on his carrier

“The time that I saw him was when I had finished off with Kofi Kinaata who has now been able to do his own label and is doing his thing. And I have done so for some artistes in the past and it was just time for him to concentrate on brand Samini so I can’t pay attention to other artistes for now”

Samini who recently realised the video for his new song “Rainbow” is still promoting his 7th studio album “Untamed” which debuted No 8 on World Reggae Billboard Chart and number 8 on iTunes USA
