The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party Sammy Awuku and Some Executives of the party in the Northern Region have escaped an accident in Tolon.
Reports suggest that a Tundra car with the party’s PA system run in to flames while crowds were gathered to be addressed by the party’s executives.

The incident happened at Tolon station as the NPP supporters were gathered expecting the Regional Chairman, National Organizer, and the Parliamentary candidate to address them.
The vehicle having the PA system was parked in the middle of the station with supporters ready to hear the address suddenly caught fire as people whisked for their lives
The cause of the fire is yet to be known but as the incident happened the National Organizer and the team has just left the Palace of Tolon Naa to the grounds.
When they were going few meters away from the vehicle explosion fired up and fire service personnel came to the scene to fight it

The National Organizer and people there are currently safe as the event has been canceled.
