Ghanaian musician, Dennis Nana Dwamena who is known as KiDi has revealed the motive behind the ‘I’ll be back’ statement he made on stage during the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The talented and award-winning musician caused stir after making that comment and matters became worst even after he missed out on winning the Artiste of the Year award.

Ghanaians subjected him to massive trolls with many believing that he was feel ing proud of himself with he made that comment.

However, he has indicated why he said that and it even far from being arrogant or proud and he clarified his statement in a recent interview he with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM on Monday morning.

In his submission, he said;

“I believe in the power of the tongue. Saying “I’ll be back” wasn’t out of arrogance or pride. It was just me giving myself hope.”

In the same interview, he conceded that his performance during the event was below what was expected of him.

“I didn’t have a good performance at #VGMA22. I could have done better. A lot of things happened backstage that led to my poor performance at #VGMA22. I cannot disclose what happened to the public.”
