Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is $400,000 richer after promoting Friday’s Ghana Premier League match between Legon Cities FC and Asante Kotoko.

Wale was contacted by Legon Cities to promote as well as perform at the match at the Accra Sports Stadium and according to Ghanasoccernet, he has been paid $400,000.

However, It is unknown if the club intends to make the musician its brand ambassador for the season.

Shatta- who controls the streets as they say in the music world- has got a massive following on social media and since the announcement, he has enticed many non-football fans.

His Shatta Movement fans- the most vociferous and vibrant in the country are expected to answer the call of their ‘President 4Lf’.

He is expected to perform many of his hit songs before and during half time to entertain the crowd.

Legon Cities FC management is convinced the ‘I Know My Level’ hit-maker can draw his followers to the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night.

His association with the club has got many talking on micro-blogging websites like Twitter and Facebook and his video shared on various WhatsApp groups.

The re-christened club have done enough the past few days and won over neutrals with their branding and promotional drive.
