Award-winning dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is widely known as Shatta Wale has been profiled by the award-winning German TV station, DW-TV.
Shatta Wale shared the post from DW Africa on his Facebook timeline with the caption: “The SM Journey!!!”

“Shatta Wale is a famous Musician in Ghana who, recently alongside other African artists, was featured on an album by global music icon Beyonce.
He has a considerable following in Ghana, coming from a difficult background while growing up in one of Ghana’s biggest slums, Nima.
But he is not just making music to entertain but now working at inspiring the next generation, hoping to mentor many to get off the streets and avoid social vices.”
DW-TV is a set of television channels provided by Deutsche Welle.
The channels concentrate on news and information and first started broadcasting 1 April 1992.
They are broadcast on satellite and produced in Berlin. DW English broadcast service is aimed at the overseas market.
